Farah's 7th birthday cake

My eldest daughter, Farah celebrated her 7th birthday on 16th March and she wanted to celebrate it with her friends at her after school care centre. Although I can always order a cake for her, I decided to bake her a birthday cake for her instead. As usual, I bake part of them in little cups with a small centre piece for the candles.

I was glad that her friends and herself enjoyed it.

  3. hi nisa,

I don't hv any specific cupcake recipe. What I always do is that I use a cake recipe that I like and bake them into cupcakes. I don't like to use muffin recipes for cupcakes because they are not as soft and moist as cakes. For this one I baked a milo cocoa cake. Will update the recipe later.

Vanilla frosting, What is flavoured shortening? where do I buy it from?

  10. hi flower, there is a butter flavoured shortening available in the supermarket. However, if you are in spore, just use the shortening from phoon huat. It doesn't have the smell or taste unlike crisco.
