Caramel Peanut topped Brownie Cake

I was in a mood to bake last weekend and was thinking of baking something 'different'.  After going through heaps of baking books, I decided to try this and was truly delighted with my choice :-D

This is a very delicious cake, with the lovely crunchy peanut and caramel.  I made the caramel slightly bitter as the brownie cake was a little on the sweet side.  The combination was really good .. do you think it looks like the photo in the book?  This is taken from Doris Greenspan's book 'Baking: From My Home to Yours'

A slice that you cannot resist :-)

When I see this cake, I knew that it is the same cake I baked for my husband's birthday in June... and this cake is superb!

I'm Zoe and this is my first time visiting your blog. I'm a Singaporean living in Australia and miss Singapore food a lot. I would love to follow you for more of your Singapore-style mummy baking.
